May Announcements
The two-for-one uniform sale is still going on at the Orem and St. George Scout Shops. This is an amazing opportunity for all scouts and volunteers to get switch backs for half off. You can get the two-for-one price any way you like: Two for you, two different sizes for your scouts, and so on. Knowing that our uniforms will be changing in the fall, this is a great way to stock up on these pants if you like them. So hurry, we have no idea when this sale will end. Camp directors get your staff sizes now and help get them all in uniform at a great price! Click here for more information.

The Order of the Arrow is now holding their meeting the first Thursday of each month at 6 pm at 1390 North Main, Orem. It is at the church just north of Windsor Elementary school. As a lodge they will participate in the Arrow Corps 5 national conservation program June 14-21 (click here for more details). They need help killing Tamarisk and large numbers of Leave No Trace trained people are needed. There is tons of crypto in the work area and they need everyone's help developing and executing a plan to keep it intact, not to mention all of the petroglyphs they need to teach people to stay away from. By the way, both fathers and sons are welcome and encouraged to join the Order of the Arrow. We've found over the years that a dad/boy combination works great!

Jump Start The Trail To First Class
The summer camping season is about to begin. Scouts have week-long Scout camps like Maple Dell, Thunder Ridge, Scofield, Blue Mountain and High Uintah. Varsity and Ventures have high adventure bases like Entrada and Beaver. Cub Scouts too get their own day camp experience at Jeremiah Johnson. However, there are hundreds of 11 year old Scouts who miss out on their own unique summer experience beca! use many leaders don't know that there are two camps operating this summer just for them!

Adventure Park at Buck Hollow in Springville, Utah and Big Thunder Adventure at Thunder Ridge in Parowan, Utah are two camps dedicated completely to New Scouts and the Trail to First Class. Both of these camps offer two days and one night of Boy Scout camping helping New Scouts have fun while completing many of the requirements for their Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class badges. Each camp offers unique experiences and environments that are worth every moment that these New Scouts will spend in camp.

So, if you know of any 11 year old Scouts and leaders that have not signed up to go to camp this year, don't let them miss out! Pass on the good news!
